MDAC Timing Guide: When to Submit Your Malaysia Digital Arrival Card
Learn how Malaysia Digital Arrival Card timing works: it can be submitted up to three days before your scheduled arrival. Plan ahead so you are ready to complete it on time.

The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card represents a significant shift in Malaysia's immigration processing. This mandatory digital document replaces the traditional arrival card completed on paper during border clearance, streamlining the entry process for international visitors.
Immigration requirements allow the MDAC to be submitted up to three days before your scheduled arrival in Malaysia. Preparing your passport, flight and accommodation details in advance is different from submitting the MDAC: the registration itself can only be submitted within three days before your scheduled arrival, and it is not a visa and does not guarantee entry.
Submit the MDAC once your scheduled arrival is within three days, and avoid leaving it to the last minute. Completing it a day or two before you travel leaves time to correct any errors. Keep your confirmation ready to show with your passport at immigration.
Before the window opens: gather your passport details, flight details and Malaysian accommodation address. Once you are within three days before your scheduled arrival: complete the online form with accurate details, review it carefully, and save the confirmation sent to your email.
Preparing your details in advance is different from submitting the MDAC registration. Our assistance service helps you prepare and check your information, and the MDAC registration itself can only be submitted within three days before your scheduled arrival. MDAC assistance is USD 35 per applicant and is separate from any eVisa service.
